Brief Introduction
Jianshu Hu, DPhil in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford, is currently an Associate Professor at Tianjin University School of Medicine. My long-term research focuses on cardiac ion channels and calcium-signaling electrophysiology, with extensive experience in cardiovascular electrophysiology, drug discovery, and brain–heart interaction mechanisms. My primary interests include the structure and functional regulation of ryanodine receptors (RyRs) and potassium channels, as well as their roles in catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), malignant hyperthermia, and related disorders. I have interdisciplinary expertise in electrophysiology, patch-clamp recording, cardiomyocyte isolation and imaging, genetically modified animal models, molecular simulation, and medicinal chemistry. I have published more than ten high-quality papers/articles in international academic journals and holds multiple granted patents.
